Appraise a Candidate
You can evaluate candidates using a star rating and capture notes related to each aspect. A star rating between 0 and 5 can be assigned to each of the following aspects for a candidate:
- Experience
- Skills & knowledge
- Formal qualification
- Character
- CV
- Cover letter
- Interview performance
The appraisal feature also allows you to capture the below for a candidate:
- Feedback/comments
- Challenge areas
- Additional information
- Suggested interview questions
Please Note: A candidate can be appraised by multiple users. You can also view other users’ appraisals and notes to compare candidates during the recruitment process.
Prerequisites:
To complete this process:
- You must have “Read access” granted to your account for the Users > Hiring > Jobs permission (available to Administrators or above)
OR
- If assigned to a specific job, you must have “Read access” granted for the Users > Hiring > Assigned jobs permission (available to Administrators and above).
AND
- You must have “Full access” granted to your account for the Users > Hiring > Candidate talentpool permission (available to Administrators or above)
OR
- If assigned to a specific job, you must have “Full access” granted for the Users > Hiring > Assigned candidates permission (available to Administrators and above).
How to complete this flow:
- In the candidate’s mini-profile, select the job which you want to appraise.
- Click the “Appraisal” tab.
- Click the required star rating to apply a rating to each aspect. On hovering over the stars, the rating given on click will be indicated.
- Optionally, click on the “note” icon to open a free text box in which you can capture notes against each aspect.
- Enter free text into the following areas:
- Feedback
- Challenge areas
- Additional information
- Click “Save” to save the appraisal for the candidate.
